The innovative scissor features triangular, angled finger holes designed to fit nearly any hand. Paired with our classic Hamaguri edge, the Blacksmith Fit delivers simplicity and versatility in one easy-to-use shear—offering that signature buttery cutting feel that defines all Mizutani scissors.

As the ultimate all-arounder, the Fit has also served as the foundation for many of the shears used in top North American hair schools and academies, including Paul Mitchell and American Crew.

Design Note: Both the thumb and ring finger holes are triangular (see photo gallery). This creates a highly adaptable handle, especially for stylists transitioning from other brands—typically cast-made, rather than handcrafted. With Mizutani, the difference in craftsmanship is evident even in the finest details—an attention to quality that cast-made scissors simply cannot replicate.
